“You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers”
If I cannot attend the race, is there a process for a refund or deferral or transfer?
We can defer to another year, or transfer your bib to another person. You will need to change the registration and notify us before the race day of the change so that the information can be updated in the registration system.
Can I register on race day?
Yes, but we would strongly recommend that you do NOT wait until race day to register. The first 500 get free t-shirts
Are early starts permitted?
There will be one early start at 6 a.m., restricted only to ½ marathon walkers who expect to need at least 2 hours to finish the course. The restrictions on the early start are due in part to limited course support in the early morning, prior to the regular starting time. Anyone who starts early will not be eligible for awards.
Are shower and/or locker room facilities available?
Locker rooms and the gym at the College Campus can be used for running gear and changing. There are shower facilities. Neither the college or Lake Auburn Race Committee are liable for losses or theft incurred by participants. Locker rooms are for day use only.

Yes. Registered runners may switch events at any time before the race. There is no partial refund for those who switch from half marathon to the 5K, and those who switch from the 5K to the half marathon will be asked to pay an additional $25 to account for the difference between the two entry fees. To switch events you must stop by the registration table. We will need to update the registration information so that the timing is not impacted.
How does the chip timing system work?
There is a disposable chip system in which the timing tag is placed on the back of the bib. Please do not fold your bib, because doing so can break the electrical circuit inside the tag, possibly resulting in your tag not being recognized when you cross the start or finish line.
